Project Safety Net Offers Modified Services During COVID-19 Pandemic

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Project Safety Net will continue offering their services at modified hours to better serve their existing and future clients.

Project Safety Net’s top priority is the health of their clients, staff and colleagues. To reduce the risk of potentially spreading the covid-19 virus, Project Safety Net is making adjustments to their office hours, and operating procedures at this time. Project Safety Net will continue to follow Governor Cuomo’s current guidance. At the moment Governor Cuomo’s guidance includes social distancing, and has ordered all non-essential businesses to completely close, or have all workers work remotely. In order to comply with NY states office policy, Project Safety Net’s testing services, group meetings and in-person gatherings are postponed until further notice. The Care Coordination services will continue during this time, and will be provided for those who are currently using the service, and to any new members who would like to start using the service. Arrangements have been made to ensure the Care Coordination is still fully operational and available to all members. Project Safety Net’s office hours will also be adjusted to accommodate the reduced staff presence. These changes are in effect until Project Safety Net receives further notice from the Governor, or receives clearance from the government that they can safely resume operations as normal. Project Safety Net expects this situation to continue to evolve daily during this time as the situation develops. Project Safety Net’s is dedicated to making real-time on-going adjustments with their scheduling and office availability to accommodate its customers while balancing their ability to safely accomplish their mission and provide the services they provide to the community.

The mission of Project Safety Net NY is to promote health, safety and achievement for the diverse and underrepresented communities of Long Island. Their programs and services have a particular focus on substance abuse and mental health, LGBTQ+, communities of color, at-risk youth, and people living with chronic health conditions.
