“I started this AMP with a thankful heart, and I am grateful that it ended with pride,” said Kim Su Mi, the CEO of COSWAY Co., Ltd., giving a final speech as she wrapped up the SWU’s World Beauty AMP, where she teached as a specially appointed professor.
She added, “The SWU World Beauty AMP has become a milestone in the K-Beauty management training courses, and is possibly the most appropriate course for current and future management in the cosmetics industry. This has been even more meaningful with colleagues of not only the beauty industry, but the various industries in relation to beauty that are growing alongside it.”
The 15 weeks of classes began with the entrance ceremony on April 6th, where the CEO Kim Su Mi started with a lecture titled ‘The end of K-Beauty as we know it’ Before beginning the course, Kim expressed her ambition, saying, “With the establishment of the SWU World Beauty AMP, I wish to deliver to the class my thoughts on the convergence of the beauty industry and academy, and the formula of success of a premium beauty brand in response to the changes of the global market, with the best faculty and instructors.”
Before the completion ceremony of the course, Kim said, “I hope this course may act as a compass that will guide the CEO and C-level managers who are always facing important decisions and heavy responsibilities, and confused in the sea of information on emerging management techniques, market trends, and global trends.” She also added, “I hope this course can give you a discerning eye, so that you can leave the unchanging areas of basic science and advanced study to the experts.”
She also shared her excitement of the second group of students, saying, “There are more than 30 students waiting for the course next year in 2023. We will make sure to prepare for them.”
CEO Kim Su Mi, who delivered field knowledge and practical experience to the students during the course, is the head of COSWAY, Co., Ltd., which launched the ‘healing cosmetics’ brand named ‘ARTHETIQUE,’ based on ‘scientific analysis,’ ‘reliable ingredients,’ and ‘aromacology.’
In October last year, they also unveiled the ‘Egg Money’ project, which launched the EGGR, the world’s first mask pack packaged in ‘eggs,’ making it ‘an egg with mask pack inside.’
Not only does ‘EGGR’ has a special design and package, but it also has excellent effect on skin elasticity and moisturization by containing 48,000 ppm of egg corneal extract in the mask pack, which is equivalent to 100 eggs. The egg cornea is composed of 80% amino acid, 15% lipid sugar, and calcium, and only 0.05% of an egg is the cornea. The product is known to have high content of amino acids and moisturizing substances. EGGR has been promoted worldwide at the Cosmoprof in 2019 at Hong Kong, 2020 at Orlando and 2022 at Bologna. At the 2022 Bologna Cosmoprof, the students of the AMP also attended, taking the first step toward the globalization of SWU AMP, which aims to foster premium cosmetics brands.
