Oklahomans interested in selling their homes now have a new resource to lean on as they prepare to place their homes on the market.
Oklahoma Real Estate Experts founder Ruthie Gallardo-Owens in a video released this week announced a new book she has published offering tips and information to help home sellers get started.
The book, “How to Sell Homes Fast for Top Dollar,” offered as free as a digital download from her website, addresses such topics as creating curb appeal, staging with a purpose, upgrading with ROI in mind, common seller mistakes, finding buyers, the dos and don’ts of negotiation, bargaining chips and more.
“This book will cover everything from getting your house ready, to doing repairs, to the type of role the title company plays in a transaction and more,” she said.
“It’s super useful!”
Gallardo-Owens said the book is perfect for both individuals thinking about selling their home, and for those who are interested but are not quite ready to talk to a realtor.
“After you get it and read it, then we can talk once you’re ready.”
The book is one of many measures Gallardo-Owens has taken to educate realtors and sellers in the Oklahoma real estate market, education having long been one of her passions, according to an article done on her by Edmond Business magazine (https://edmondbusiness.com/2021/08/celebrating-hard-working-women-in-edmond/).
The piece said after completing her undergraduate degree in political science, she went on to earn her master’s degree in education, while simultaneously jumpstarting her career in education teaching English as a second language. After working for a number of nonprofits, she returned to teaching, this time though teaching teachers how to use technology.
Now as a realtor, she found her teaching skills instrumental and needed in the often confusing world of real estate — hence her YouTube video channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_0z9zdGTe7jOS-LHdQ5nwg) and now this book.
