To celebrate wellness month, Ovolo has partnered with The Body Shop to launch The Sleep Deep Experience, a unique experience from 11th – 14th August at Ovolo Woolloomooloo. Designed by Australia’s leading sleep expert Olivia Arezzolo, The Sleep Deep Experience will provide Ovolo guests with the tools and knowledge to sleep better and wake stronger.
When interviewed by Eleven Media, Olivia Arezzolo said this, ‘’getting the best night’s sleep doesn’t happen by chance – there is a specific step by step formula that, backed by scientific evidence and my own professional experience, works.”
She went on to say, “Starting with the perfect sleep sanctuary, which includes a chilly, 18 degrees air con setting and reducing ambient light (maximising melatonin production), guests will also enjoy a sleep suitable dinner – one that is high in tryptophan, an amino acid which is converted to melatonin, alongside omega 3 fatty acids, which regulate the sleepiness hormone’s synthesis.”
Olivia also recommends calming scents, such as lavender and vetiver, as found in The Body Shop’s new sleep range, further support sleep quality: evidence indicates both aromas promote parasympathetic nervous system activity, helping us feel more relaxed.
