Leading online casino experts discussed how the gambling industry should leverage Artificial Intelligence to ensure that casinos online remain safe.
There were 690 registered attendees, 2 panel discussions, 3 keynote speakers, and lots of interactions with the online audience.
One of the highlights of the conference was Göran Lindsjö’s view on how AI can be used as a tool for a more sustainable gambling industry. The main takeaway was that whilst AI can be helpful to intervene in problem gambling, online casino operators should remain aware that it is not an effective replacement for human interaction.
Chris Eade, from Zafty Intelligence, also took the virtual stage to explain how AI is being used already to identify problem gambling patterns and help players stay in control. This is especially useful when it comes to online slots players, as these games are known to attract problem gamblers.
In the second panel, there were gambling regulators from France, Malta and Sweden. It provided unique insights for attendees as they were able to understand the challenges from a regulator’s point of view. The consensus was that there are currently limitations in the way AI is being used to tackle the issue of problem gambling.
In an industry dominated by bonuses and fierce competition between online casinos to attract new players, it is refreshing to witness an industry event where the focus is laid on the sustainability of the industry and the wellbeing of the players. Kindred Group brands include popular casinos such as 32 Red, Bingo.com, Bohemia Casino, Casino Huone, iGame, Kolikkopelit, Maria Casino, Roxy Palace, and Unibet.
They all agreed that online casino operators should educate their players about responsible gambling. Whilst operators are already using AI for this purpose, this should be disclosed more clearly, and insights should be shared within the industry.
The conference ended with Kindred Group’s commitment to continuously working towards a safer and more secure gaming environment for their customers.
