SocialRate Helps Fans Rank Their Favorite German YouTubers and Twitch Streamers

The German platform allows users to rate influencers based on a variety of attributes. The average of those ratings is then used to rank all the major influencers in the country on a comprehensive leaderboard.

With the decay of traditional media and the growing adoption of online content platforms, influencers have only become more important over the years. These days it is hard to find someone under the age of 30 who hasn’t followed at least one web celebrity for a while. And for those looking to learn more about German influencers and how they stack up against each other, SocialRate can be a very useful platform.

SocialRate is a German online platform that helps users rate and rank different German influencers. While the platform’s main focus is on Youtubers and Twitch Streamers, the platform also has rankings for Instagram and TikTok influencers. Having rankings for all four platforms is a necessity, as not only are all of them popular in Germany, but it has also become increasingly common for influencers to have a presence on 2 or more platforms.

According to a 2021 report on the Global State of Digital published by Hootsuite, roughly 74% of Germans use YouTube, 46% are on Instagram, 18% use TikTok, and 13% use Twitch. And there is a lot of overlap between all four platforms, as many users are active on more than one platform and many influencers do the same.

It’s not uncommon, for example, for Twitch streamers to publish highlights from their streams or even full stream archives on their YouTube channels.

To reflect that, SocialRate allows users to not only see how influencers rank on a single platform, but also to check the rankings for influencers who are on more than one platform. Using the right filters, a SocialRate user can see who is the highest-rated German influencer who is both on YouTube and Instagram. Or who is the highest rated influencer who is active on all 4 platforms.

SocialRate’s rating system is fairly simple. Users are asked to rate influencers and content creators on four attributes. They are:

  • Content: This relates to how good and useful the content being output by that individual is. This can mean content in the form of photos, videos, live streams, or all of the above.
  • Character: This is a highly subjective metric that asks users to rate influencers based on how they feel about their character. Usually, this means how nice and genuine an influencer is, but each SocialRate user can decide how they evaluate an influencer’s character.
  • Humor: Of course, this relates to how funny different influencers are. One does not need to be a comedian to be a good influencer, but web users tend to like content creators who can make them smile.
  • Relevance: This category asks users to rate influencers based on how relevant they are at the moment. Whether it be within their content niche or across the influencer community in general.

Each of these attributes is evaluated by users on a 5 stars system. The average of an influencer’s score across those 4 attributes becomes their overall rating, which is used to rank them against different German influencers.

That ranking can then be used not only to help see how influencers compare against each other but also to help users find new influencers who they might want to follow.
