Music comes in different forms and we as humans have different tastes in music. A South African DJ/producer Thulasizwe Mngomezulu known as UMngomezulu a well known icon in the house music scene believes that as a producer it’s never a good idea to be focused in one specific musical genre, house music is a combination of a lot of genres it’s inspired by disco and soul music however every musical genre in the world can be represented within the dance music scene.
Producers around the world focus so much in that style they known for, and a lot of producers are gifted to explore other musical genres. UMngomezulu started his year with a bit of exploration in house music as he produces his type of sound inspired by different musical genres, he started his year by remixing a song which is actually mid tempo in house music inspired by disco and gave it a different feel from its original work.
This gave him a chance to understand that exploring as a producer in electronic music is a brilliant idea because you might not know what can happen with the outcome of every musical project that you have done.
Listening to alot of music from different musical cultures really helps an artist to grow their craft and trying something new is part of growth. From releasing different projects each and every musical project by UMngomezulu is inspired by different musical genres. As the year 2022 begins UMngomezulu plans to collaborate with different artists to explore musically.
