He was later pulled over by Hurst Police Department officers, who secured a search warrant to conduct blood tests.
The arresting officers testified that they detected the smell of alcohol. They also claimed that the accused exhibited slurred speech. Additionally, Medlin’s client failed the sobriety tests and showed impaired balance and coordination. The blood test revealed that the client was legally intoxicated based on his BAC level and was detained for DWI.
During a two-day trial in Tarrant County, Texas, criminal defense lawyer Miyazono vehemently contested the accuracy of the blood test results. The Hurst Police Department failed to establish the presence of a DWI violation despite all of the evidence and the given testimony. The jury found the accused not guilty of the DWI charges.
