Deep House is a subgenre of House Music which is highly appreciated in South Africa, UMngomezulu has so much respect from House Music fans,legends and DJs within this particular sound. Hailing all the way from Kwa Zulu Natal, he studied music and obtained a diploma which played a major role for him in his career.
Growing up listening to House Music was a huge blessing for UMngomezulu, producing it is even more than a blessing to him. Over the past 20 years South Africa has released so many House Music compilations that played a huge role in inspiring many producers in the country, the love of this music grew drastically due to so many DJs compiling music. Compilations had a huge impact in teaching fans more about record labels and artist’s, UMngomezulu was inspired by big name DJs like Vinny Da Vinci,2Lani De Warrior,Brett Jackson (RIP), Khabzela (RIP), Miggs Foreal,DJ Bubbles,DJ Terrence,Kanunu,Christos and more.
These well know DJs who inspired him growing up play his music, which is a dream come true. The first time when he witnessed Vinny Da Vinci a South African Deep House pioneer playing his music on TV it was a blessing in disguise. Now UMngomezulu is releasing under the biggest Deep House record label called Deepershades Recordings a stable that is highly respected owned by Lars Behrenroth. His music is said to be emotional and Deep which is highly appreciated by many. Many South African House Music legends and fans have rated UMngomezulu as one of the best that they have in the country.
