Happy Hubble today reflected on its release of The Sensory Start Up Kit which has been tried and tested in everyday situations over the last couple of years. The main aim was always to introduce a Sensory Start Up Kit as the first thing you’ll need once your child has been diagnosed with autism ADHD or special needs. The Sensory Start Up Kit does so with a calming effect.
Simone Hubble, Owner at Happy Hubble, says: “We wanted to try something new with The Sensory Start Up Kit. Anyone familiar with sensory toys for children with autism and special needs market, will probably have noticed how everyone else always seems to offer sensory products and visual aids as individual items, leaving the customer to navigate the store and decide what is required to help them to move ahead.. We felt this was a problem because a lot of people are left without a direction forward..”
So as a welcome breath of fresh air The Sensory Start Up Kit instead brings all the basic sensory products and visuals together with helpful advice all in the one kit.. Happy Hubble chose to make this move because we believe that parents that have to confront autism especially for the first time have so many other pressing things on their mind.

Included is – “what to do now?” A short guideline explaining the first few things that must be done after a diagnosis. This list would vary from place to place, as each state and country have their own supports and funding.
There’s 2 things to consider, ‘how this impacts me and my child’, and then there’s all the practical things you need to do.
– a morning and afternoon routine card, with a variety of 29 specifically designed ( and cute ) task cards. The card has strips of velcro for the tasks to be attached in order of routine.
– a happy/unhappy card, this is great for the child to show how they’re feeling, without using words. This card can also be handy in therapy and school, music lessons etc. The teacher may use it to explain ‘expected and unexpected behaviour’
– Our popular silent timer. This timer is completely silent, until the beep to signal the end of the time segment. There’s no distracting “ticking sound”
This timer gives a visual indication of time passing, the green disk disappears as the time passes. It gives a calmness of being aware of how much time we have left with an activity.
– A pack of our ‘visual reward cards’
These cards can reward the recipient for good behaviour, completing a task or rewarding self regulation, or even if you just need 10 minutes quiet time!
This gives them a visual control their reward, which is very important, they can control how and when they spend them, they can even save them up!
– Plus a variety of fidget toys to distract your child while you sift through your new “to do list”. They all have their own benefits individually.
