Clear Vision Institute’s LASIK improved procedures involve the use of a cutting laser to reshape the patient’s cornea. The doctor will create a flap on the outer layer of the cornea, which will remain attached but will be folded back as the laser is being used to reshape the patient’s eye.
Recent statistics show that LASIK procedures have an impressive success rate of over 96%. In addition, 90% of patients have achieved 20/20 vision or better, and 99% have ended up with 20/40 vision after undergoing the treatment.
Clear Vision Institute recommends the patient be accompanied by a driver as they will need to keep their eyes shut for roughly 6 hours after the procedure. The patient cannot wear eye makeup on their eyelids or eyelashes on the day of the surgery, the experts also say.
The surgery on both eyes takes under 25 minutes to perform. After LASIK, the patient may experience some dryness in their eyes, but this can be resolved with eye drops or pupil-constricting drops. The patient may also see rings around lights when they’re out during nighttime, but this issue will disappear on its own in as little as just a few weeks.
