Shawn Gilfillan, owner of Automotive Magic, a full-service auto repair shop in Kenvil, NJ is thrilled to announce the grand opening of his second auto maintenance facility in Hopatcong, NJ. Magic Lube and Rubber will open for business on August 1, 2022, at 320 Espanong Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ. To celebrate the grand opening, Magic Lube and Rubber will offer a free oil changes and a tire alignment check to the first 100 customers who visit.
Gilfillan opened Automotive Magic in Kenvil in 2003. What began as a one-man auto repair shop has since expanded into a 6,000-square-foot, full-service, and top-reviewed auto repair and preventative maintenance facility.
With the opening of Magic Lube and Rubber, Gilfillan will now employ more than a dozen ASE-certified automotive technicians, service underwriters, service consultants, and support staff at his two locations.
“It’s a dream come true. I’ve been fascinated by automobiles since before I could reach the gas pedal. Then, when I was a student at Roxbury High School, I took an auto shop class, and the rest was history. I knew that I’d make auto repair my career. All these years later, I still haven’t lost my passion for keeping cars well-maintained,” Gilfillan said.
To that end, Gilfillan says that the decision to open Magic Lube and Rubber was one of the easiest decisions he’s made. “Our customers wanted the convenience of our service in the Lake Hopatcong area. While our locations are only about 6 miles apart, today’s world operates at a breakneck pace. A lot of people just don’t have extra time. Our customers deserve convenience, and we were happy to oblige them,” he said. “We never want anyone skipping crucial preventative service because they don’t have enough time.”
Magic Lube and Rubber will offer quick oil changes and lube service, along with tire inspections and service. A complimentary multi-point inspection is included with any tire or oil and lube service. Full-service auto repairs will be performed at the fully equipped flagship shop in Kenvil.

Magic Lube and Rubber will be open Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am- 4:00 pm.
