SIRVA, the parent company of Allied, surveyed 250 participants across 235 organizations for the annual Mobility Report.
“Technology and Millennials in the workplace have become more prevalent, evolving the way moving for work happens all over the world. Everyone is challenged with smaller local talent pools, fewer resources and less time,” finds the report.
Key challenges in workforce mobility include deploying talent, cost management and experience outside of an employee’s home location.
A staggering 61% of participants find cost management to be the biggest challenge in mobility. Process efficiency was the second burden, with 46% of respondents citing efficiency as a concern and 33% concerned with the speed to deploy.
Deploying talent was a concern for 80% of organizations that find deployment the key to the success of an organization. More relocations and a shift in the business landscape requires an agile deployment process.
Over the past 24 months, a majority of organizations have experienced a shift in global mobility. Strategic business changes are the key reasons for mobility.
