We live in a world in which streams of content blast into cyberspace and on social media every day attempting to convince millions of impressionable youngsters that form is more important than substance.

The subliminal messages disseminated by pop culture seem to suggest that fame, and creating a large virtual community is the ticket to happiness and success. Then there is Antony Gordon – swimming against the stream – something Antony has successfully done his entire life.
Growing up in Johannesburg South Africa during the Apartheid years, Antony produced The Free People Concert for three successive years, the largest Anti-Apartheid music concert at the time and showed the world – against all odds – that music can break down barriers and stereo types. On his arrival at Harvard Law School on a Fulbright Scholarship, Antony ran for class representative. While every other candidate’s campaign focused on how their skills and world view qualify them to represent the Class of 1990, Antony presented a comical parody to illustrate how he would lead the class with authenticity, care, and humor – and, once again – against all odds – was duly elected!
In the past eighteen months, Antony has exploded onto the international scene with one of the most successful TEDxTalks of 2022 (titled “How to Always be Happy”), a critically acclaimed podcast (“The Antony Gordon Show”- Lessons for Life I did not learn at Harvard”); co-authoring an anthology titled “Habits of Success” resulting in Antony adding “WSJ and USA Today Best-Selling author” to his accolades, as well as being selected as one of “The Top 50 Most Impactful People of LinkedIn.”
Antony’s thesis has struck a raw nerve with hundreds of thousands of people from all levels of society across the globe. Briefly stated, Antony’s message and content is directed at showing his audience how some of the most universally accepted ideas perpetuated by pop culture are not only dead wrong but are in fact the very reason millions of people are leading lives of quiet desperation.
As Antony points out “… Gen Z is the most sophisticated generation in terms of technology, they have unfettered access to information and more material comfort than previous generations, and yet youngsters today suffer from nihilism – i.e. – a lack of meaning or purpose in their lives. Nihilism in turn leads to hedonism and excess materialism. Is it any wonder that there has never been a generation that is more unhappy and anxious?”
After almost thirty years of representing – in various capacities – some of the most famous personalities in the entrainment, sport and media space, Antony not only has a deep understanding of the illusion of looking for happiness in collecting objects or “likes,” but more importantly, has the life sagacity and skills to offer time-tested solutions. Antony’s insight, clarity, and entertaining style of presentation his well-researched material has caught the attention of some thought leaders in the entertainment and media space who are committed to develop AG Productions to ensure that Antony’s message and content rises above the noise.
For the first time in his life Antony noted that he feels confident inviting outside investors who are keen on sharing quality and meaningful content with a world class team committed to helping him become the voice of reason and wisdom in a world that has lost its way. That said, Antony is at pains to point out that the subject matter that he discusses will stay away from politics and divisive issues.
On the contrary, AG Productions is committed to build bridges, not moats. For those who have been searching for the right team to dispel stereotypes and ignite a light in a world that is dark for so many, perhaps you should not only be rooting for the success of AG Productions but rest assured, Antony will need all the support he can get to once again, take the road less travelled.
