BizCover reflects on four years of BizGiver and celebrates granting the wish of the 36th recipient of the BizGiver Grant.
Since it was launched back in 2014, BizGiver – which was first called the Small Business Buddy Program – has made countless wishes come true for the Australian small business community. To date, BizCover has granted 36 wishes and given away over $70,000 in prizes including SEO packages, advertising, hardware and equipment, and training courses.
For the uninitiated, BizGiver was created to give back to the small business community. Each quarter BizCover will grant a wish for a product or service by one of the many entrants. These wishes can be valued at up to $2000.
BizCover has long been an advocate of small business. Their ground-breaking online insurance platform provides instant quotes from Australia’s leading insurers in a matter of minutes. It was built to serve what appeared to be a clear need to help save the hardworking small business community time, energy and money.
The technology powering the platform is tailored to the small business; asking them personalised questions about their business’s services allowing them to provide quotes from leading insurers that will best suit their needs. It then allows them to compare instantly and purchase online.
To enter your small business to be in the running, simply visit the BizGiver page, enter your details and make your wish by telling them in 200 words or less what item or service would help take your business to the next level and why you deserve to win.
At the end of each entry period BizGiver will select the finalists, and from there the winner will be determined by public voting via the BizCover Facebook page. You can enter as many times as you like, provided you meet the entry criteria outlined below.
You must be a small business – this means 20 employees or less, even if you’re a one-man band.
Have a valid ABN – to validate that you are an actual business.
Wish for an item or service – your wish must be for a tangible product or a service, up to the value of $2,000, which will help your business. You cannot wish for cash.
Previous winners have been ecstatic with the wonders the grant has done for their business.
Sapphire Coast Mobile Mechanic was granted their wish for set-up tools and a compressor giving the owner the opportunity to take their growing business to the next level. “It makes a huge difference winning this prize, I can now purchase much needed tools and free up money for other business costs.”
Sydney based florist Pure Flowers was granted their wish of a copywriting and SEO package that has allowed them to increase their exposure in not only the local area but in the ever-growing online space. “The blog posts have allowed our website quality to improve, helped us build trust with potential customers and build our business reputation via our website.”
“So much of BizCover’s success is due to the small business community, who have embraced our services over more traditional methods of buying insurance,” said BizCover Founder and Managing Director, Michael Gottlieb. “This program is just one way we aim to give back to that community, to thank them for their support and for sharing in BizCover’s vision.”
