Mitch Sowards, president of Entrust Technology Consulting Services, has recently been selected to serve on the San Antonio Water System Citizens Advisory Panel (CAP) representing City Council District 8. Effective January 2019, Mr. Sowards will serve a 2 year term for calendar years 2019 and 2020.
ABOUT CAP: This committee helps the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) management assess the projects, plans and policies that will help bring new sources of sustainable, affordable water to our community. SAWS is a public utility owned by the City of San Antonio. It was created in May 1992 through the consolidation of its three predecessor agencies:
City Water Board – the previous city-owned water supply utility.
City Wastewater Department – the city government department responsible for sewage collection and treatment.
Alamo Water Conservation and Reuse District – an independent city agency created to develop a system for reuse of treated wastewater.
Mr. Sowards stated, “I am proud to serve my community in the important capacity of water planning for my city and my region. I believe I am well prepared to represent Small Businesses and my Council District in this capacity and I look forward to working with the other members of the group and panel.”
