Financial Publication Cayman Financial Review Hires Tim Schmidt as VP Business Development

In a time where navigating financial markets has become a full time job, financial newsletter Cayman Financial Review has hired a seasoned expert to assist with expanding its growing publication.

Turbulent markets have led worried Americans to seek out information online on how to best survive these difficult times. With many people worried about inflation, a recession, and a rapid decline in the stock market, financial publication Cayman Financial Review has seen significant increases in traffic that has led them to expand their team and hire Schmidt, a seasoned marketing and communications expert based in Weston, Florida.

Throughout his entrepreneurial career, Schmidt has been an active investor in equities, real estate, businesses, cryptocurrency, and precious metals. Since 2012, he’s written for IRAInvesting.com, largely covering alternative investments that he’s made through his retirement portfolio in an effort to create awareness as to how Americans can use their long-term savings to diversify beyond equities, mutual funds, and bonds.

“There is a big misconception that retirement accounts are not only on auto-pilot, but that they are designed for safe, steady growth. With inflation being out of control, making 4-5% simply doesn’t work. The fact is, you have great control over your funds and you can use them to diversify into many different asset classes that can not only safeguard your assets, but also grow your wealth,” said Schmidt.

Schmidt will hold the title of “VP Business Development” but will assume roles in overseeing content, creating partnerships, acquisitions, and of course, his forte – marketing. He’s helped many businesses exponentially grow their traffic and customer base dating to 2001 through his agency, Ice Cold Marketing, and most recently exited his Miami-based skin care company of 13 years in May of 2022.

Often quoted in the media for identifying trends in the marketing space, the deal also includes a name, image, and likeness (NIL) package where Cayman Financial Review has exclusive rights to Schmidt’s video and editorial content for two years. (Financial details were not made available.) Most recently, Schmidt uploaded a video sharing his experience investing in a precious metals IRA.

“There are many media personalities and celebrities endorsing precious metals companies, but I hadn’t seen anyone like me – in a position of fear – actually investing in gold and silver. I felt that with my platform online it was worth sharing my story and why I chose to diversify my assets,” said Schmidt.

Acquired in 2020, the Cayman Islands-based financial offshore newsletter covers global investing topics. Most recently, the FDIC bank closures have been dominating headlines, but the topics include diversifying your assets, offshore investing, retirement tips, precious metals company reviews, and more.

“We strive to educate consumers and protect wealth for generations,” said founder Arthur Karter, based in Grand Cayman. “Hiring Tim allows us to have boots on the ground in the USA. He’s a very networked, in-touch Entrepreneur who brings tremendous value in not only his journalist talents, but his 20+ year history of being a marketing consultant for global brands will increase our readership substantially.”
