St. Louis, Missouri (July 2020) — Heavenly Scent would like to remind current and prospective clients about their commitment to safety and cleanliness during the COVID-19 outbreak. The company recently updated their cleaning procedure and instituted an advanced set of precautions to keep customers and Heavenly Scent employees healthy and safe. Heavenly Scent takes the pandemic very seriously and is totally committed to the idea that a visit from Heavenly Scent employees will result in a healthier, cleaner home.
Heavenly Scent has implemented five new strategies to adapt to COVID-19. They include a new disinfectant, common touch points, mopping and vacuuming, PPE, and dusting methods. The new disinfectant is Husky 891, a hospital grade disinfectant that is formulated to kill COVID-19 and other influenza viruses. Husky 891 is commonly found in healthcare and educational facilities. Common touch points are now a focus of a Heavenly Scent cleaning. The areas that receive a high degree of touching such as remote controls, door and cabinet knobs, light switches, water faucet handles, stairway railings, coffee pots, and thermostat buttons now receive extra attention. Mopping has changed because mop heads are now disposable and multiple heads are used per home. Vacuums are Hepa filtered, with removes 99.9% of particles. Vacuums and their attachments are sanitized between jobs and disinfected after each work day. Sanitized cleaning cloths are being used instead of dusters, and each is washed in a bleach detergent after a single use per day.
New employee standards are also at work at Heavenly Scent. Cleaning technicians wear disposable gloves, use shoe covers, and have disposable masks that they wear to and in each customer’s home. They wash their hands upon entering each house and again when leaving each job site. Any technician that shows any symptoms or reports signs of sickness are temporarily removed from the work schedule. In addition, clients are asked to report illness and postpone appointments if a family member is not feeling well. Customers are invited to call Dean Spasser at 314-341-8334 if they have any requests or concerns.
