Earlier this year, Imalac, Inc. introduced the Nurture Breast Massager, an innovative new breast pump accessory to the market. New or expectant mothers who are currently or planning to breastfeed should pay attention, as this new product launch poises Imalac to make a tremendous impact on breastfeeding success rates.

The Nurture massager is a first of its kind solution that addresses many of the challenges that nursing mothers face when using a breast pump, which can lead to discontinuing breastfeeding earlier than originally planned. Early users are already raving about how Nurture has helped them improve their pumping results.

Designed to simulate hands-on pumping, the Nurture Breast Massager works with standard electric breast pumps to provide gentle, compression massage and has been clinically proven to help improve milk supply, increase the nutritional content of expressed breastmilk and relieve the discomfort associated with clogged milk ducts and mastitis.

While manufacturers continue to develop and introduce new products every year, none have truly addressed the problems that cause many moms to fall short of their breastfeeding goals. The CEO and Co-Founder at Imalac, Inc., Noreen Sablotsky, makes a point of saying “The Nurture Breast Massager is the first product that tackles some of the biggest pain points that contribute to new moms discontinuing breastfeeding earlier than they planned.”

Sablotsky continues… “In an industry that has seen minimal advancement for decades, we set out to develop an innovative solution that dramatically improves breast pumping results.” Noreen, a scientist and entrepreneur who was first introduced to the concept of hands-on pumping while working with a biomedical accelerator in Israel. At the same time, her daughter and Imalac’s Co-Founder, Rachael Kish was breastfeeding her first child. “I noticed my results while pumping were drastically increased when I used my hands and manually massaged my breasts,” says Kish.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that women exclusively breastfeed for the first six months after birth. Although 85% of new moms start breastfeeding, only 25% meet the 6-month milestone, according to the CDC’s Breastfeeding Report Card in 2018.

With the majority of women working full time outside the home, breast pumps have become an essential tool for a mother’s ability to continue to provide breast milk to their babies when she is away and unable to nurse. However, pumps are inefficient and cumbersome, and concerns about milk supply and painful complications like clogged milk ducts and mastitis add to the stressors and demand already put on new mothers.

“Ultimately this is going to be a huge benefit to our customers because it will help them pump more milk with more fat, reduce the time it takes to pump, and relieve the discomfort that comes with clogged ducts and mastitis,” says Kish.

Imalac, Inc. was established in 2017 and continues to build a community of breastfeeding moms and lactation professionals that share the common goal of support, encouragement, and education.
