James Kenton is a Tennessee roofer but hasn’t always represented the state’s metal roofing industry. “Metal roofing is like any business,” said Kenton when asked for a reason behind his deductions. “A business can be state-of-the-art at what it does and still fail if it fails to please its customers. While the quality of service is a major part of customer service, so is maintaining your cool and being receptive to what the customer has said and impliedIt’s about being receptive to their spoken demands and the demands they never knew they needed until we brought them up.
“Many of those unspoken demands are met when we save them a good chunk of their budget by retrofitting the metal roof over their existing flat or sloping roof. Of course, we do this with their go-ahead, just as we do anything. We’re nothing if not transparent, yet another aspect of quality customer service,” stated Kenton.
After learning the ropes in Wilmington, Kenton moved to Nashville to take on a managerial role in the metal roofing business. His tasks involve:

- Managing the accounts.
