Leading ATV manufacturer donated a large sum of money to help preserve and expand trails for outdoor sporting enthusiasts, and to encourage safety and consideration when riding.

Based out of Minnesota in the US, Polaris Inc is widely recognized as an industry leader when it comes to motorcycles, snowmobiles, and ATV/UTVs While the latter vehicles tend to get a bad reputation as being a somewhat dangerous pastime, there’s no denying that ATVing is a vastly popular way to spend time outdoors. This is true throughout the US and Canada alike.
In Canada, BC Cargo Trailers, a cargo and utility trailer dealer in Armstrong, BC, sells an array amount of trailers specifically designed to haul ATVs and UTVs for everything from hunters, to pleasure riders, to racing enthusiasts. The popularity of these “toy hauler” trailers has grown considerably, especially during COVID where people are spending more time in the great outdoors. As a result, more people on both sides of the border are hitting the trails.
In June, Polaris announced it had donated more than $110,000 to off-road and all-terrain vehicle organizations across the US as part of the it’s T.R.A.I.L.S Grant Program. Each organization, which included Baraboo Bluffs ATV/UTV Club Inc. in Wisconsin and Upper Peninsula Recreational Off-Road ATV Riders in Michigan, received between $3,500 to $10,000. The grants are intended to help support development and expansion of trails, and to help educate riders on safe and responsible riding.
“These local organizations and clubs are made up of passionate volunteers and riders who love our sport – they are truly the life blood of the off-roading community with a genuine desire to help create a safe and enjoyable experience for all those looking to get out and ride,” said Steve Menneto, president of Off Road at Polaris. “The T.R.A.I.L.S Grants Program is our way to help support their efforts and show our appreciation for their passion and dedication.”
The T.R.A.I.L.S Grant program has two main objectives: promoting safe and responsible riding and supporting environmental preservations and trail access.
