Free, fast-moving class at Charleston Public Library will cover topics ranging from website marketing for law firms to recent S.C family law developments, Peck Law Firm reports

The Peck Law Firm will host a free continuing legal education (CLE) class covering website marketing for law firms and family law essentials on September 26. To be held at the Charleston Public Library at 69 Calhoun Street, the seminar will begin at 9 a.m. and run through 12:15 p.m.

Completion of the seminar will provide participants with three minimum continuing legal education (MCLE) credit-hours. Attendance and course materials for the class will be free of charge, with some of the topics to be covered to include:

Search engine optimization techniques for law firms.

Law-firm website essentials.

How Google’s Search Quality Evaluators use assessments of expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness (EAT) to rate the value of law firm websites.

When electronic monitoring of a spouse can cross the line into crime.

Recent updates to federal rules governing the child tax credit and other family-law tax considerations.

How bankruptcy affects divorce fillings.

Tracking and comparing document versions in Microsoft Word.

How premarital property gets transmuted into marital property under South Carolina’s legal system.

The free, fast-moving CLE class will cover many other topics, delivering as much information of practical, focused value as possible in the course of its three hours. Aimed specifically at South Carolina-based attorneys and those who support them, the seminar will highlight many notable, recent, relevant developments in the fields of marketing, technology, and family law.

“We’re happy to announce that we’ll be hosting an intensive CLE class at the Charleston Public Library on September 26,” said Peck Law Firm owner and practicing attorney Ken Peck. “Continuing legal education requirements ensure that South Carolina Bar members stay up to date with the latest developments in the field and are always able to serve their clients effectively. Our seminar will be good for three MCLE credit-hours and will be of considerable professional value to all who attend. In addition to making a terrific South Carolina Divorce CLE, the class also covers important topics like website marketing and recent technological developments that are relevant to law firms throughout the state. We believe that there will be no more productive or convenient way to engage in some continuing legal education.”

All members of the South Carolina Bar who are not specifically granted exemptions are required to engage in at least 14 hours of approved CLE each year. Designed to provide as much useful, timely information as possible, the upcoming Peck Law Firm CLE class will be of interest to family-law attorneys throughout the area.
