As the spring season begins to appear on the horizon, Tidewater Golf Club, one of Myrtle Beach’s best courses, continues to be one of the area’s most sought after tee times.

The layout’s stunning, natural beauty continues to be Tidewater’s defining trait. The course features eight holes that play along either Cherry Grove or the Intracoastal Waterway, including the par 5 13th , which also offers a distant view of the Atlantic Ocean.
The course’s coastal beauty provides a canvas even the most creative of architects can’t recreate and leaves players clamoring to play again. A gentle dogleg left, the par 4 fourth hole is the Grand Strand’s most scenic two-shotter.
Requiring an approach to a green fronted by three large, deep-faced bunkers with the marshy waters of Cherry Grove playing along the left side, No. 4 is a stunning test of golf.
Of course, it may not be Tidewater’s prettiest hole. The third and 12th holes, a pair of adjacent par 3s, play along Cherry Grove and are among Myrtle Beach’s most photographed.
While there can be disagreement on which holes golfers like best, there is no doubt as to where Tidewater stands in the Myrtle Beach market. The course has been ranked among the nation’s top 100 public courses by both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine, and in 2019 was voted Myrtle Beach’s third best layout in a survey of more than 50 PGA professionals.
