Trillium Home and The Chocolate Studio: A Shared Shopping Experience in Spooner

Two Downtown Spooner businesses are joining forces to bring a unique shared shopping experience to the area. Customers can now visit the Trillium Home and The Chocolate Studio all in one newly renovated space at 237 Walnut Street.

Shoppers can now find a unique shared shopping experience in Downtown Spooner. Trillium Home and The Chocolate Studio recently opened a conjoined space at 237 Walnut Street where customers can enjoy a newly renovated store and shopping with both businesses.

Trillium Home offers sophisticated, rustic home décor, interior design services, apparel and accessories, while The Chocolate Studio offers yoga classes, specialty chocolate, wine, and boutique items. As customers enter the store, they will find Trillium Home in the front, a shared check-out counter, a clothing section, and then The Chocolate Studio’s retail space and yoga studio.

“We decided to do things a bit differently with our shops, because we aren’t the typical “up north” tourist shop,” explained Trillium Home Owner Vicki Martin. “The sophisticated look and shopping experience our stores offer are a great compliment to the other unique boutique shops in downtown Spooner and differ from anything you will find in the surrounding communities.”

Martin, along with The Chocolate Studio’s owner, Tamara Herskovic, decided this past December they wanted to bring their entrepreneurial passions and businesses together to create one unique shopping experience for their customers. The Chocolate Studio had hosted Trillium Home’s Holiday pop-up shop in their space October through December of last year. It worked out well for both businesses, so they decided they wanted to join forces. After completing interior renovations to the space, The Chocolate Studio reopened on February 12 and Trillium Home opened on March 4. They are planning additional renovations to their building’s exterior in the spring.

“Working alongside Vicki is a lot of fun,” said Herskovic. “We discuss design and ideas and are passionate about our dreams while providing a great experience to Spooner.”

Herskovic’s shop’s sophisticated-whimsy style and Martin’s sophisticated-rustic style complement each other and each shop offers something new and different to customers. The Chocolate Studio features Mayana Chocolate, Herskovic’s winning line of chocolate that has received several awards, including Top Ten Chocolatier in North America and Business of the Year.

According to Herskovic, the name for The Chocolate Studio is a play on words, taking from the chocolate line and yoga studio. The studio offers five yoga classes each week as well as belly dancing classes, host drum circles, group Reiki session, cranial sacral healings, and more.

“We look forward to sharing this one-of-a-kind shopping experience with local Spooner shoppers and hope to bring in new visitors from other areas as well,” said Martin.

“At Trillium Home, we bring sophisticated, rustic fashion for your home and sophisticated casual fashion for you, and The Chocolate Studio provides accessible yoga classes while offering a boutique experience and award-winning chocolate. It’s a little something for everyone, all in one place.”
