Dr. Mason Garbs joins Premier Eyecare Associates in June 2022, working across all locations as an optometrist. His passions for patient care and community engagement make him a welcome addition.

Chillicothe, MO, 06/08/2022 — Premier Eyecare Associates has just announced that a new optometrist, Mason Garbs, O.D., has joined their team. Dr. Garbs is practicing across all Premier Eyecare Associates locations as of June 2022.
“Since my start in the optometry world, I have always been drawn to the appeal of working in a small town,” Dr. Garbs said. “The sense of being truly part of a community and helping your neighbors is something you can’t get elsewhere! Having a location that you can go to for any eye-related problem is very important to me. Diversity of ideas and treatments is what drew me to a team practice.”
Dr. Garbs served as secretary of the Pre-Optometry Club, and worked for three years as a part-time optometric technician while earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He then spent time living in Memphis, TN, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry and acted as student government secretary for his class.
“As an Optometrist, I have the privilege to watch whole families grow and use their eyes to pursue their dreams,” Dr. Garbs said. “Plus, people are less afraid of us compared to dentists!”
Dr. Garbs will serve as a floating optometrist at Premier Eyecare Associates locations in Carrollton, Chillicothe, Brookfield, Trenton, and Kirksville. He is eager to accept new and existing patients of the practice. And appointments can be scheduled by phone or online.
