Seadrift-based business, GlowRow has seen unprecedented growth during the few months since opening its doors. With its customer base surging by approximately 75 percent per month, this company has surpassed the growth rate of even those in the nation’s most rapidly expanding industries, such as information technology. In light of this development, owner Zack Jurasek has announced GlowRow will be launching its second fleet of clear, LED-equipped kayaks for customers to enjoy.
GlowRow is known for its unique nighttime guided tours along the Gulf Coast of Texas in see-through kayaks. Its signature kayaks are fitted with LEDs that allow tour participants to choose their own colors and light patterns. Patent pending LED-equipped glowing paddles that are only available at GlowRow have also been added to the company’s repertoire.
Additionally, GlowRow has recently introduced a second glowing trailer with updated graphics to its fleet. The company has likewise brought a new tour guide into the fold. The newest member of the team, Jonathan Martinez, brings to the table three years of kayak instructing experience with the Boys and Girls Club of the Coastal Bend and community support from the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation.
Several areas are served by the GlowRow team, including North Padre Island, Port Aransas, Corpus Christi, and two locations in both Rockport and Port O’Connor. There is also an additional location in Galveston that is coming soon. Until now, the company was only able to serve one of its locations at a time. With the expansion of its fleet, it has been able to expand its offerings. This newly added second fleet consisting of nine kayaks enables the GlowRow team to offer 10 additional tours each week. As such, they are able to share their unique water-based tours with 180 more guests per week than before the expansion.
