Nearly 4.3 million people quit long-time jobs in January, according to the U.S. Department of Labor’s JOLTS report, and seek a new type of retirement plan, like real estate investment properties. Millions are rethinking retirement plans, and reimagining futures as remote workers, even gig workers rather than working for one employer. It’s a huge cultural shift with many planning for the future as fast as they can. Nearly 4.3 million people quit their jobs in January, a slight monthly decline but still near the record level set in November, the U.S. Department of Labor said.
